Speculation on upgrade to AF Nikkor 300 f/4 IF-ED

Hi there people

Some time ago there was a little speculation on whether the 300 f/4 was to be
upgraded.

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything more?  AF-S or D upgrade maybe?
