dave: the nikon 72mm polarizer works fine. i have shot approx a dozen rolls on my 24-12- zoom and seen no evidence of vignetting. the polarizer is thin and it steps up slightly in size. these factors i believe combine to eliminate the problem. it is a little pricey, but it sure works well.
