Maybe someone has answered this already, but... Two years ago, my N90's back peeled almost completely. Following a suggestion on this list, I called Nikon and described the problem. They immediately sent me a replacement back at no charge (not even shipping!). They only asked that I send them the old back in return. I've had no problems whatsoever with peeling on the replacement. Michael
