You say that when you open device manager, it still shows the scsi card as not
working correctly.  Although you have already downloaded the new driver from
Adaptec, it may be that Windows is not using it for the card.  One suggestion
would be to remove the device from device manager, close Windows, reopen
Windows, and see if Windows will install it and the driver properly.
Alternatively, you may be able, without removing the card, to highlight it in
device manager and select properties.  This will, I recall bring you to a
series of dialog boxes one of which will give you the opportunity to update
the driver; you then direct it to the driver you downloaded.  If neither of
these work, try sending a message to Nikon's technical support board.
