        My experience has been that AF is more accurate, but 
        tends to promote 'operator errors'.   

        With the camera focussing for me, I had to learn to resist 
        the tendency to point the camera and shoot without paying
        attention to just what part of the subject focus is locked 
        on.  

        The first roll of film I shot with my F5 had lots of pictures 
        of people with their noses or ears in focus instead of their
        eyes.  It was all due to my carelessness though.  After I 
        learned to take the time to make sure that the sensor is 
        exactly where I want to focus, it's always been dead on.
