Ok, I'm paranoid and do this every time I buy something new.

Now, on the F-5, the place where the hinge to the back is located (on
the right side of the camera)...well, the hinge protrudes a bit. Its an
exterior hinge.

On my new F-100, its an interior hinge. So, there is a bit of a gap
between the back and the right side of the camera where the hinge
connects...room for the door to swing open, I guess. So, take a look
really closely in between where the gap is, at the interior of the
hinge. Can you see a tiny bit of the metal posts? The back seems really
snug when closed, so I assume its fine (haven't shot a roll yet), but I
just wanted to make sure mine looks like yours.

Ok, and the second thing -- the red indicator light for the focus zones
just flashes for 1/2 a second or so when you switch zones. Is this
right? The orange indicator on the sides of the f-5 stay lit the entire
time you press the focus area selector. I assume its supposed to be
that way...but I can't tell from the book.

Don't get me wrong...I love the feel of the f-100...just want to make
sure all is well. I could go back to the store and look at the "model"
again...but this is easier!

Thanks.
