What level of technology are you speaking of? Those wonderful AFS lenses?
Oops, I mean those wonderful Nikon versions of USM lenses. Multiple focus
points? Or do you mean the color meter, which only the F5 has. Maybe you
mean the flash system. But E-TTL is pretty darn good, and many Canon
lenses also relay the focusing distance a la Nikon "D" lenses. The only
place that Nikon really wins is, in my opinion, body construction (and
that's why I bought into Nikon, although I will probably buy a Canon too).
I like the solid feel of Nikon, although polycarbonate is also pretty
durable. As for the color metering, I'd have to say I'm pretty happy with
the job my F90x does, and I'm not sure the F5 would save very many shots
for me. Oh, and I love how Nikon technology has put DOF preview on all
bodies, just like Canon. It's a good thing you don't have to spend $700
for the privelige of having DOF preview. That would really suck!

>SCARY!!! huh? Because canon has a marketing strategy that is aimed at

>It's ALL marketing.

Canon must have a truly amazing marketing technique if they have convinced
so many pros to switch to Canon, even though it is apparently a truly
inferior brand. My god, to see all those white lenses during World Cup
matches! I dont know how so many photographers manage to practice false
idolatry AND pay their bills using Canon equipment. Hey, maybe it's
because they are good photographers and chose the equipment that best gets
the job done.
