I've noticed recently that a few contributors have, in essence, apologised for being "newbies" or for having to ask for advice. Don't do it, my friends. Everyone has to start somewhere and if you've started with Nikon equipment you've made a smarter move than those of us who worked our way through all the other makes before finding Shangri-la! Well, all right, the real Shangri-la would have a better repair turnround and would tell us all about new models before they were designed, but you know what I mean. Another regular occurrence is the apology for poor English. Don't!! I was born with (Scottish) English, am fairly fluent in French and can usually make sense of written German and the Romance languages. How those of you who were born to languages with completely different roots and alphabets get anywhere with English is beyond me. English seems to me, as an insider, to be 10% rules and 90% exceptions which you simply have to memorise. Believe me, there are native-born "English" speakers round here who make a worse job of it than the digest's contributors! Keep contributing and remember, the F100's just another light tight box with a lens on the end. BFN David
