Stuck DK-7

I have a DK-7 stuck on my F4.  That is the little threaded ring for
attaching the right-angle finder to the F3/4.

I have tried pressing it against a flat piece of rubber and turning the
camera around, and even tying rubber band around it.  Please help.  TIA.
