Hi Folks,

In reply to some interest in replacement screens for Nikons,
the following is excerpted from their catalogue. PLEASE
understand that this is just for info, I'm not a salesman
nor do I stand to gain from this. Prices shown are suggested
retail valid 1/1/98 - 12/31/98 so they might have gone up
(or not). The catalogue says that their
screens are up to 4 times brighter than the originals, but
they also offer screens for medium and large format bodies
- that may be the reason for the 4 times brighter figure.

Camera Body Suggested Retail

Nikon F/F2 $112.50
Nikon F3 $112.50
Nikon FE/FA/FM2/FE2 $ 75.50
Nikon 8008 $ 79.50
Nikon F4 $129.50
Nikon N90/90s $ 79.50
Nikon 8008s $ 79.50

For all bodies listed, the following configurations
are available (priced the same for each body) :

Plain Matte screen.
Plain Matte Screen with Grid.
Horizontal (H) Split Image
Horizontal (H) Split Image with Grid.
Diagonal (D) Split Image.
Diagonal (D) Split Image with Grid.

They also offer a service called T-MOG Custom
Screen Treatment. "Because we cannot make a Beattie
Intenscreen for every camera model, we offer our
custom 'T-Mog' Service in which we perform our
unique chemical coating and curing process to
your existing screen. Simply send your screen to us
and we'll make it brighter by up to one full f-stop."

Their price (per their catalogue) for this service is
$49.95 for 35MM. They caution : "Individual results
may vary. Fresnel Optics is not responsible for
focusing screens lost or damaged during shipping."

Their address :

Note that some camera shops carry some of the above
at a lower price (B&H for one).

Hope this helps,
