Hello Nikon'ers:
I just bought the lens mentioned above (used). Unfortunately, it
did not come with the "adapter" ring that will enable a reproduction
ratio of 1:1 (without this ring, the rep ratio is 1:2 -- I think).
Does anyone know where I can buy this ring and what its called ?
Second, can I use a close-up filter +1 or +2 and obtain a rep ratio
better than 1:2 ?
A more fundamental question: why is this (and others as well) lens
called a "macro" lens ? How is it different from a non-macro 90mm
f/2.8 lens (if such a lens exists) ? Thanks.
