I'm sure many other people have run into what I'm looking for, so here's
a question to fellow Nikon users. In general the neckstrap around the
neck approach works for my photography, but in many cases it's just too
cumbersome to run around like that especially when I try rotate the
camera to the vertical position (strap always blocks the viewfinder). So
I wind up wrapping the strap around my hand a few times to safely hold
the camera with just one hand while running about, but it's not as
secure as I'd like it.

But I find out about Nikon's AH-4 which is a really nice seeming
handgrip which appears to solve the problem very well. So I go to the
camera store, try it out, and was less than impressed as it blocked the
vertical release on the MB-10 (tough to get around in any design), and
most of all because they wanted a king's ransom of $65 for it.

Does anyone know of any alternatives to the AH-4 that work well with the
N90s + MB-10 to hold the camera with a single hand securely? Another
issue is that I'd like to keep the neckstrap on the camera at the same
time so it would have to play nice with the existing strap.

Thanks in advance,

Sean Dougherty
