Actually, the EM can take the full range of Nikon
lenses except for pre-AI or lenses that need mirror
lockup or maybe another exception or two. The
E-Series lenses (which are AIS) came out at the same
time as the EM and were sold in conjunction with the
EM's as a less expensive set of lenses. All the
"modern" lenses will function in manual mode along
with the EM's center weighted  metering. I do not see
why the new S lenses would not work if they are put
in manual mode (which I assume they have - now
someone correct me too if I am wrong on that one!).
And the E-Series lenses can be used with the other
newer Nikons (like I use them on my N90s).
