Hello, I have had this lens for some time now - approx. 6 months - and I can only find one disadvantage, wich is weight (Of course, a 135/2 isnt the most lightweight lens there is, but at least my sample weighs a ton (about 800gr, to be exact)). I have bought this lens as a general purpose lens (I am no prof. photographer), and I like its perspective very much. However, if you plan on doing night shots, get a tripod, the lenms is difficult ot handhold due to its weight. Havent used the Defocus Control much either. Hope this helps Robert
