Mine is after much use by the first owner and now me. It's solid and well built. The glass is superb. It's a little heavy but I kind of like that feel. My understanding is that the 75-150 Series E is fine optically, but Nikon made some structural compromises to make it more affordable when the E series was in vogue. Had I found a used E in very good condition at a good price I probably would have bought it and been perfectly satisfied as I am very careful with my equipment. However I paid a bit more for the 50-135 3.5 AIS. I find it a truly remarkable example of a MF Zoom at its best, my one and only zoom by the way.. Tom T
