Hello folks,

Setting aside the current polite discussion on the light
        fall-off of the 2-touch 80-200/2.8D and whether the AF-S
(a completely different design) has the same "problem,"
could any of you address this question?

How is the AF-S on the N90(non-s) in terms of focusing ?

        I have the "D" one-touch currently.

In examining my photography funds, I've been thinking that
since my N90 does drive AF-S lenses, money might be better
spent on the new 80-200 as opposed to the F100. (plus I'm
allow the bugs to settle-out of that body ;)

So. I realize most people probably have the N90s -- sure,
I'd like to hear from you too.

I do realize that focus tracking and speed are also determined
by the processor in the body. Is it "worth it" to put the
        80-200 AF-S on an N90 ? Most of the continuous focus-tracking
I do is swimming events. I've gotten some good results w/
my current one-touch; but no doubt it's slow to react sometimes.

Thanks
Chris
