>>>>>>>>>>>For those who shoot weddings, which ONE zoom would you use to
shoot weddings
: Nikons 24-120, 28-200, 28-105, 80-200, 70-300,... ?
Or among Tamron/Sigma ?
I guess 80-200 is out of question - it's heavy and bulky, and a little too
costly. So what are the recommendations ?
I'm using right now 28-80, it's a sharp lens but I'd like to have a bit
wider range.
Appreciate your replies!

Zalman- Beyond a doubt-- at least for my shooting style-- the 28-105. The
wide end will be extremely useful when you are shooting particular aspects
of the event in crowded conditions, such as a dance floor (where other
guests would be much more likely to slip between you and your subject when
using a longer lens) or the cake-cutting, and the longer end will come into
play when you are shooting things at the alter or face portraits of the
couple. For the latter you can use it at 5.6 or so, maybe even wider, and
it will give you a nice out-of-focus background to make the subject stand
out.

There might be times when you would need more than the 105 to get alter
shots, but I doubt that you would run into such situations often, and the
lighter weight of the 28-105 would be an advantage.

I've got a long post I once wrote on the essential shots for a wedding.
Let me know if you're interested in seeing that. -BC-
