Hi Robert.
I just don't know. Initially, I was more concerned with the information
made available to us Nikon users. I just feel that we have the right to
know what is inside every camera we buy. Nikon usually boasts of what
their PRO cameras have. In their F4 brochure they stated that the F4
has 9 ICs including two 8-bit microcomputers and one 4-bit
microcomputer. The F5 has a hybrid circuit construction with three
16-bit, one 8-bit, and one 4-bit CPUs. Why do they include these data
for the F4, and F5 and leave it out of all other camera brochures? I
was just curious about what is inside the F100.
By the way, I shoot fashion shows with the F5 with the new AFS
Zoom-Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8D IF-ED. This combo tracks better. The first
time I used it I panicked becase I thought it was in single servo mode
because the focus indicator (dot) stayed on permanently and the tracking
indicator (left and right arrows) never flickered. To my relief I
noticed that the lens was just tracking perfectly. (somewhat like a 333
with a SCSI drive)
Happy shooting.
