You are heading into the "Land of the Morning
Calm." The hour of dawn is magical and will
challenge you and your equipment to capture
its beauty, stillness and grandeur. It has
been almost 50 years since I was there and I
still retain the feel of its dawns.
Forget the shrines, monuments and statues
(except for the mount looking north where
the North Koreans were first met by the
American troops. It is a momentous site.)
If they still refer to Hill 381 at K-55,
that would make for great shooting. Whatever you
use for glorious landscapes should accompany
you.
