Nikoneers, This is my first input for the digest, and I hope you like this contribution. About camera's like the N/F 60 and N/F 50: though they certainly will fullfill the needs of certain photographers, I doubt if they will be very fulfilling for Black-and-White photographers, simply because it is not possible to set the ISO-value you need. Of course it is possible to work around this problem - for instance by putting those special ISO-labels on the filmcassettes - but personally I don't like fiddling this way. For me there are a lot of other reasons for not using these kind of camera's, but if you only shoot color (negatives, not slides!) they will perform fine. Has anybody heard of the F80 (or N80) yet, the succesor of the F70? This would be the last to be replaced by a better camera, in my opinion! Snip: >By the way, I have got a F100 (I'm specifyin it since I read in the >user's guide that the standard (?) Nikon Polar polarizer filter cannot >be used with it. Only the Nikon C-PL circular polarizer filter is >supposed to be ok (Why the hell I don't know!). All Autofocus SLR's camera's (all brands) need to be used with Circular polarisers, because of the way the autofocus-system works. If the C-PL is a Nikon or not is for you to decide... Of course, if you don't use autofocus, you can use any polariser you want, but I guess one of the main reasons for buying the F100 is its autofocussing capabilities! By the way: I don't see very much European contributions, is there a reason for this ? Greetings, Martin Giphart (the Netherlands)
