Not quite sure what you mean about "initialization" being more honest, and with the argument that "color" is fewer letters than "colour" an argument can be made that "initialisation" is easier to write because it uses the more common "s" in favour of the lesser used "z". But I agree with your guidelines that PRs shouldn't be dumped just because it's in the wrong style of English, and that only one-way PRs between language conversions should be accepted (although I wouldn't mind a PR that only changes a large chunk of text from one style to the other).
