As you are way more experienced than me in all this, and given the fact that 
you have been working on kinda complementary systems (shaders vs cuda/opencl), 
I'd like to ask your opinion on:

  * this paper, that says that compute shaders are generally faster than 
cuda/opencl:

  * considering that the technologies seems converging into one over time, Id 
like to ask what is in your opinion the killing feature that will win over the 
others. I think it is the ability to share logic and (even more important) 
types with a single code base (and this is also the reason why I think Nim 
shines in this context)
