Thanks - I had another option, which is to make a lib subdirectory in nimble, 
and install libraries there; this way, one would only have to add a single 
directory to LD_LIBRARY_PATH. However, for this I need the HOME directory, and 
(as I'm using nimscript), I have to use ospaths...
