Hi @mbaulch @andrea I've only encountered this problem in Linux; I just tried a fresh Nim-devel install (Ubuntu, gcc 4.6.3), and get the same issue. I don't have any problems with OSX (gcc-5 from homebrew or the packaged gcc). The test file (in tests/) also fails with -d:release, except when dead code elimination is turned off.
