It will be interesting to see how reliable 2.5 is.
Although I am happy to see it out, the fast pace of beta and fc
releases
indicates either minimal testing or a very limited number of beta

with no major problems.
Uh, no. We have been testing since May with the release of the sneak
peeks and we had a large number of beta testers, actually. When we
went beta, we had an even larger pool of testers. This test cycle has
actually been pretty good, unlike the first public beta test, which
was not so good.
Oh, and the fast pace of the beta and final candidate releases means
that we were actually trying to be responsive.
What can we expect in the next release? (The folks at Mercury Software
were promising outlining and the return of the graphics layer for the
"next upgrade" before 2.5 alphas saw the light of day.)
Geez! We just released, and already you are asking for more? Right
now, we are going to concentrate on taking a (very) small break. Then
we will start thinking about the next release.

Dave,
So - all of us who bought 2.1 recently can just punch in its # into the
final 2.5?
Best,
Henry
