Now that the complete manual is available as PDF, a glance through its TOC make for interesting reading.

'LinkBack', which has been mentioned for some time as being available, appears to something worth a follow-up. It is compared to Publish and Subscribe, of blessed memory, but is more powerful.

It requires the user to have the linked application as this is where the work is done. Examples of such applications include OmniGraffle [charts, etc.], OmniOutliner [obvious], Keynote[via a plugin], Stone Create and iMaginator [don't know].

Since OmniOutliner is a much more extensive outliner than we would want out Nisus persons to spend time on, the ability to integrate it and NWE is worth consideration by us.

There are some hidden delights in NWE 2.5. My iBook is not fast, but when going from, say page 3 to page 20 by clicking in the vertical scroll bar, a progress bar at bottom left of the page appears and vanishes. v 2.5 is very fast.

What I appreciate very much, and would like to say explicitly in honour
of the Nisus team, that's the aesthetic and creative element in their
product. I think the product is a good job and matches the philosophy
very well. So once more, in other words: you can't urge artists by
insisting on time limits. Just let them recover and hope that, after the well deserved creative break, they will go on with their fantastic piece
of work.

Despite starting this, I echo Gerd and others' sentiments. Although none
of the features in 2.5 are of particular use to myself, 2.5 is much
easier to use than 2.0. The Tool drawer, which was in danger of becoming
a hindrance, rather than a help, has been reorganised and is more
intuitive to use despite the increase in NWE's capabilities.

Since numbered list styles were mentioned as a necessary precursor to a TOC function, I shall keep my fingers crossed, that a TOC function, and
possibly even an outline function may emerge reasonably soon. :-)
