If
you’ve been hanging around in the gym for some time now, there's a big
chance that you have met a person who has experienced muscle injuries
or people who now have a bad knee or shoulder. Bodybuilding by
weightlifting if done wrongly is a sure recipe for injuries. Here’s how
not to create damage when you're out to do good to your body.
Not without a plan

Keep
your mind on what you’re doing and go to the gym with a plan. If you're
just walking from one exercise to another with no clear goals or plan
in mind you will eventually injure yourself. This can occur when you
create a muscle imbalance.

For example, if you work your
quadriceps (the muscles on the front of your thigh) and don't work your
hamstrings in the same manner, you will create a muscle imbalance. You
will have one stronger muscle pulling against a weaker muscle.

Up your endurance

If
any body part gets injured, it takes time in getting it’s muscles
repaired. Good nutrition and rest is required by the body as one does
the weight training exercises. This will improve your muscular endurance.

Don’t eat foolishly

You
can't expect good results if you have occasional hogging sprees during
visits to the mall or friends' parties. Here's a good body-building
diet hint: while at parties where you are prone to having sweet
indulgences shoved into your mouth, go high on salads and fruit items.
Devise and follow a healthy yet practical diet which has the right
amount of protein, and your body will be healthy enough on the inside
for it to show on the outside.
