dear doreen,here are few basic remedies for constipation. try this out and let 
us know if it worked. Also try and take as much as curried food instead of dry 
food and bread which is also one of the cause of constipation.Guava &Papaya:
Top awards for Vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high
Vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber which helps prevent

Papaya is rich in carotene, this is good for your
eyes. (also good for gas and
indigestion)

Eat a few black licorice sticks. 
Take apple pectin. 
Make sure you're getting enough Folic Acid in your diet. 
Drinking ginger tea will help start a bowel movement.
 
Soak
6-8 raisins in hot water. When cool, crush well and strain. When given
routinely even too little infants, it helps to regulate bowel movement.
