I've been following http://wiki.ocharles.org.uk/Nix with some success.
There appears to be a problem with non-deterministic build output with GHC 7.10.1 <https://twitter.com/puffnfresh/status/597474734922551296> though. I don't know how to use 7.8.4 instead. I've reconfigured NixOS with a single binary cache <https://github.com/steshaw/shelly/blob/98d2f05079d4e8047622f10463a6c2b76a00c601/etc/nixos/configuration.nix#L61> in an attempt to mitigate the non-determinism (but I'm not sure if that's all that's required).
