I was at SCaLE over the weekend, and thinking about Graham's recent attempt at a scaled out Hydra cluster. One of the tracks was for Open Infrastructure, and there was a lot of discussion about how to donate and how to solicit donations to open source projects. I've seen the NixOS Foundation page, and the sponsor logos at nixos.org, but was wondering what the status of outreach to potentially interested corporate partners was like. I know most non-profits feel like they never have enough time to do that kind of work - is that the case with the NixOS Foundation? Would reliable donations of compute resources help, or is that an avenue already pursued?
