Sounds like a good idea! Perhaps you could incorporate an RFID reader and capture info from any RFID-enabled items they may have on their person, e.g. a passport. What hardware/software are you planning to use? My abilities are pretty meager, but I'd be willing to help out since I could transfer knowledge/skill gained from this sort of project to benefit the band I sing with.
