Directron sent out an advertisement that had this down in the detail.
I guess I have been under a rock... I didn't realize solid state
'disk' drives were that cheap.

back when.  We used it for paging, and it made a HUGE difference in system

Unless you are super IO intensive I would not expect a super performance
increase given the on-driver-board caching we do these days, but still it
can't help but improve systems that have 'hot IO' on databases, swap,
/var , etc.
