Okay, I'm confused. The howto I'm working from has the HWADDR line with the MAC in eth0... Now, stuff on the internet is never wrong.
Prolly don't want a HWADDR, and probably not a device unless it is a sub-interface. Usually, I just call it eth0:0 and leave the thing sort it out.
