If you're printing a PDF to the Zebra, it's being converted to a bitmap somewhere and the bitmap is sent. Usually you can tell a printer to just reprint what it just printed and it'll go much much faster. In GUI terms you set the number of copies to 300 and turn off page collation. In PostScript terms it just issues a bunch of "showpage" commands after the page is set up fully. I'm not sure about modern Zebras.
Is this printing from a Linux machine?
