I would like to do a fakeout on a FEW DNS names for all the machines in my internal network.
This is just a thought, and not sure I will implement it, but we will see. the idea is to set up a caching repository on one machine in my domain for Ubuntu, but have all the other machines in the domain have any references to sites like: archive.canonical.com extras.ubuntu.com security.ubuntu.com etc point to my caching server, and let other non-specified references pass through to a normal caching DNS server. Also, I need my software on THIS server to go 'through' to the outside DNS so the cache can work. Does that make sense? Yes, I was bad and missed Tilghman's talk that I am sure covered doing such great things, but if someone has some suggestions or what manual I could RTFM, I would appreciate the reference.
