Some months ago I posted to the list about problems I had with
connecting my linux desktop system via Remmina or rdesktop (didn't
matter which) and remote linux systems. My linux desktop always got a
"failed" message but I could turn right around, Remmina to a Windows XP
computer and use Remote Desktop Connection to the very same remote linux
system without issue. WTF!!!
Yet another case of "a little knowledge is dangerous." If there are
settings for RDC on Windows, they are well hidden. I had been setting
the color depth in Remmina to High-color (15bpp). By some accident, I
happened to slip one time and use 16bpp. That works...
Sheez...
