Isn't strange how in Linux, a typo or incomplete backspacing will
sometimes yield the discovery of a heretofore unknown (to me) command? In
this case, 'ss' ("socket statistics"). I was backspacing over an initial
'ssh' command line and hit ENTER accidentally while 'ss' was still on the
command line, and got its "usage" screen. I'm sure some of you already
know it well, but I had never chanced upon it before. This wasn't the
first time this had happened to me either. One of these days I will read
through all the man pages of the 1500-2000+ executables in the standard
'bin' folders, but not likely any time soon. I do purport to have a life
outside of computing! :)
