I ran
sudo logkeys -s

then typed
#abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz#
sudo logkeys -k

an in the /var/log/logkeys.log
was:

Ok, what is happening? What did I fubar on?

My task is I have a USB keyboard wedge pendant, I am trying to figure out
what it feeds in whenever one of its keys are pressed. The keys
come in like a keyboard wedge, and seems to work in Windows, I am just
trying to figure it out in Linux.

The entry above was just verifying my tool (logkeys) and I seem to be
getting out gibberish.
Oh, the kofjeya -j is the logkeys -k

FYI, I am running Linux Mint, and just installed logkeys after finding the
reference in
http://www.tecmint.com/how-to-monitor-keyboard-keystrokes-using-logkeys-in-linux/

Thanks for the help.
