Professor Farnsworth voice: "Good news, everyone!" We have an embarrassment of riches.
The Nashville Software School and the Nashville Public Library are both willing to host us. The following DATES are CONFIRMED at both locations: 10 June 24 June 08 July 22 July 12 August 26 August Those are the SECOND and FOURTH SATURDAYS of each month. Mark them on your calendars, I'll update the Meetup events. The following TIMES have been confirmed by the Nashville Software School: Noon to 2:00pm for the above dates. My thinking is that John O'Malley and I will need ~15 minutes for load-in and setup; since NSS should be providing most/all of the facilities, this should be minimal (I will confirm space for ?? participants, adequate power, video projector, and internet access, hopefully with an onsite walkthrough tomorrow). John and I see the sessions running 60-90 minutes. I suspect 60 minutes will be the norm, but I want a fudge factor since we haven't done this before (Warning - I'm sure mistakes will be made; your feedback is vital so we can learn and improve, should we decide to continue in the fall with the Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator {RHCSA}, and beyond). Even if we use 90 minutes for the sessions, we'll still have a final 15 minutes for teardown and load-out. So the two hour block is ideal. The following TIMES have been confirmed by the Nashville Public Library: 1:00pm start time for the above dates, not sure yet if we would have one or two hours. I need to schedule a walkthrough with them as well (hopefully tomorrow too) and check the facilities and available resources; this includes parking. Given the above, do we want Nashville Software School or Nashville Public Library? Or possibly a mixture ("June & July at NSS, August at the NPL if necessary" as mentioned last night)? Speak now or forever hold your peace. ~~ Dru Myers (NLUG President) -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
