hi,

i been fiddling with this for a while now and have
not been able to get it to fly so i thought i'd ask
 the experts.

i'd like to get somekind of notice when i receive mail
so i have this in my .maildelivery file

* - ^ R /usr/bin/rcvtty -nobell*

but this doesn't seem to do anything.

according to the jerry peaks book rcvtty will send
a message to all shells listed in my /var/run/utmp
file, which doesnot seem to be ascii file so i can't
see which shells are registered.

one possible problem is that when i run 'who' i get

%who
simon tty1 Apr 20 18:22

but there are 4 xterms up so i'm not sure why they
don't get mentioned in the who output.

when i check the message status in all my xterms i get

%mesg
is y

so it seems the xterms are setup ok, but maybe not..

i'm running nmh-1.0.3-6x on redhat 6.1

thx in advance for your insight.
