I found a goldmine: the MH 6.8.5 tar ball contains RCS files for all of the source code. And it contains the sources for all of the documentation.
I currently have it staged for addition at docs/historical/mh-6.8.5/ Before committing, is there a way to not include the contents of each file in the nmh-commits message? It's about 20 MB. Or even better, is there a reasonable way to shove the old histories into the beginning of the git history? My guess is not, but that would be really neat.
