Yeah, that's what I was thinking; I totally understand what Tethys is
talking about.  I think if we put this in "contrib" it shouldn't cause
a package dependency.  Although as I understand it it seems the distributed
packages out there are still based on 1.3, but that's another problem :-/

Also, the script really isn't end-user ready ... it needs a bit of
customization.  But I'd at least like it out there so people have a
standard place to find it.
