Kevin, so you don't have to extract the test, I attached it to this message. If you want, please run the following on the attached file (assuming that you're in your nmh workspace): $ test/mhfixmsg -file - -outfile - <test_pass_through.eml 2>/dev/null | diff - test_pass_through.eml $ echo $? The reported exit status should be 0. If it isn't, per Ralph's suggestion, please run strace on mhfixmsg and send us the output. David
