The Pharmacometrics and System Pharmacology group of the University of Navarra (www.unav.edu/psp) is happy to announce their 3rd Summer Course on Quantitative Pharmacology: Learn how to build and share your own drug-disease model.
The course is open to everybody with interest in understanding the dynamics and variability in drug response from a quantitative perspective. It will consist of lectures, hands-on computer exercises using NONMEM 7.4 and interactive discussions. During the last day, an introduction to the field of Systems Pharmacology will be given, including concepts, tools and hands-on. ● Dates: 2-5 July of 2018 ● Venue: Faculty of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain). ● Fee: Free of charge (transport, accommodation and food not included). ● Application deadline: April 30th, 2018. ● Limited number of seats available (places are available on first-come first-served basis). ● Requisites: Participants will be required to bring their own laptop. For course registration, please email Eduardo (ea...@unav.es) and Zinnia ( zpa...@unav.es), indicating your name, affiliation, campus address, and phone number, together with a short motivation statement and a description of your current work. Do not hesitate in contacting us if you need further information. We look forward to your participation! *PROGRAMME OUTLINE* ● Introduction to Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Population Approach: concepts and applications ● Computational models and their implementation in NONMEM 7.4 ○ Pharmacokinetic models ■ In vitro/in-vivo correlations and sustained-release ■ Time-dependent pharmacokinetics ■ Physiological-based pharmacokinetic models ○ Pharmacodynamic models ■ Drug exposure relationships ■ Disease progression and placebo effects ■ Accounting for resistance ● Model building and model evaluation strategies ● New approaches in Pharmacometrics: Concepts and tools in Systems Pharmacology Best wishes, Iñaki -- Iñaki F.
