What if all of the time, effort, money, and brainpower devoted to DRM: developing, deploying, analyzing, cracking, changing, redeploying, re-cracking, etc. -- were instead devoted to pursuits like solving hunger, curing disease, or even such mundane activities as helping to spread facts to fight back false propaganda in the political realm?
