Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes Charged With Massive Fraud

The SEC on Wednesday charged Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes and
former president Ramesh Balwani with "raising more than $700
million from investors through an elaborate, years-long
fraud." Holmes has agreed to forfeit her majority voting
control over the company, pay a $500,000 penalty, and
relinquish 18.9 million shares. She will also not be allowed
to serve as an officer or director of a public company for the
next 10 years.
