I manually enter all my transactions and use the download to clear them when they clear the bank. This morning MW missed one.
Transaction was a debit entered 03/31/2009 for 4.55 (or -4.55 because it was a withdrawal) and it was in open status. The transaction didn't clear the bank until 04/08/2009 and it too was for -4.55. MW didn't find the duplicate. And as stated in another post... because MW puts these unmatched transactions straight into the registry it can really throw off the balance when missed. Usually I can use the Last Import and the Uncategorized Smart Buckets to catch these but it isn't foolproof and it adds extra cleanup steps. I'd prefer that MW give me a chance to manually match the downloaded transactions that don't match anything in the registry. I prefer this because sometimes you will make a mistake entering a transaction and the downloaded transaction will catch it.
