The account balances MoneyWell reports in the Accounts pane include Open+Cleared+Reconciled transactions.
If you click on any transaction in your register, MoneyWell will also show you the balances for only Reconciled transactions (i.e. "reconciled balance is $XXXX.XX" in the bottom of the window) as of that day. However, MoneyWell does not currently display the balances for only Cleared+Reconciled transactions which is useful if you're trying to compare your MoneyWell register to the running balance on your online bank activity. After messing with some SQL, I realized there is actually an easier way to get this balance: 1) Select the account of interest from the Accounts pane 2) Select the "All Transactions" bucket 3) In the Transactions pane, click on the blank header to the left of "Date" to sort by transaction status 4) Select all your Cleared (blue lightning bolt) and Reconciled (green check mark) transactions 5) Look at the bottom of the window for "XXX transactions; YYY selected; sum is $ZZZZ.ZZ"; the $ZZZZ.ZZ is your Cleared+Reconciled balance and should match the account balance physically in your account at the end of that day. You can also use this tip to easily see what open transactions have not yet cleared. A future version of MoneyWell could make this process easier by adding a "filter" to the transaction pane that allowed you to only show transactions of a particular status. Alternatively, MoneyWell could simply report the "Cleared+Reconciled" balance at the bottom of the window. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "No Thirst Software User Forum" group.
