I'm getting a 500, ECONNREFUSED, when trying a request to couchDB (using
nano and request modules). I have been assuming that this must be couch's
fault since I'm getting the 500. But is it possible that some condition
inside the node process or linux resources can cause the 500 response even
when couch is healthy?

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this or how I could debug it?
This is happening every couple of days and it is driving me crazy. I
can't see anything in the couch logs or the node stdout.
