Has anybody had *success* with setting up a voice chat with node? requirements: - multi person chat - can be integrated with my existing Node/express/socket.io solution - avoid forcing users to download a client separately
There seems to be a number of options 1) Web RTC - (WebRTC.io , holla) - These appear to only support peer to peer or 'full mesh' networks for multi person chat, doesn't seem to be the right thing 2) Google Voice (voice.js) - again, google voice seems to concentrate on telephony, google hangouts also has a video chat feature but my experience has been that this is sloooooow 3) Hook into more traditional game oriented chat services (node-mumble) - This seems to be a good option, these services work great and are mature but I couldn't get node-mumble to npm-install, seems under-maintained. 4) Stream it yourself (js-cast) - Again, this seems like a good option but I couldn't get it to work ... my issue (https://github.com/ariemtech/js-cast/issues/23) Any help appreciated.
